The makers of Kavin's next film, Lift, announced today that the film will be released exclusively in theatres, with 100% occupancy. Amritha, a Bigil girl, plays the leading lady in the film, which is directed by debutant Vineeth. Lift's filming and post-production work were both completed prior to the lockdown in March of last year. Libra Productions had acquired the theatrical rights to the film in April. However, with new releases in theatres halted due to the pandemic, there was speculation that the film would go overboard, as most films have done during the lockdown.
